Fans want Chelsea legend Zola to step in to replace sacked Scolari at the Bridge

Chelsea [LNB]supporters want Gianfranco Zola to replace axed boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.[LNB]That is the claim of former Blues defender Ron Harris after the club sensationally sacked the Brazilian.[LNB]Chelsea legend Zola has impressed at West Ham[LNB]with No2 Steve Clarke, who worked under Scolari at Stamford Bridge.[LNB] Dream duo: Gianfranco Zola (left) and Steve Clarke have worked wonders at West Ham this season[LNB] [LNB]'I think that if it was a choice with the supporters, 90 per cent would like to get Zola and Stevie Clarke,' said Harris.[LNB]Former Chelsea boss John Hollins believes Scolari failed to adapt to club management.[LNB]Despite huge success with both Brazil and Portugal, the Barclays Premier League proved too tough for Scolari.[LNB]Hollins, who managed the Blues between 1985 and 1988, said: 'You can't knock him for what he's done internationally but club football is a different ball game.[LNB]True Blue: Gianfranco Zola is a legend at Stamford Bridge[LNB] 'I feel he couldn't adapt to the every day thing. Internationally he's had time to look at a game and pick a team but Chelsea is instant.[LNB]'Every day is very, very busy and I have to say I don't think there was enough in there from him to carry it through.[LNB]'He had to have the players every day - some players have massive egos, it's the case all over the country.[LNB]'But Chelsea are a big side and he had to pick the team that could win a match.'[LNB]Hollins insists Chelsea's season is not finished as they chase glory in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.[LNB]He said: 'Of course the season can be saved.[LNB]'All the equipment is there but its how you juggle with it and adjust it.[LNB]'Someone coming in has to be positive and get that winning back into the pattern again. Chelsea need that, they need to lift the supporters.'[LNB]Mickey Thomas, a former Chelsea player, reckons they will target a manager already working in the Premier League.'I think it will be in this country, it might be a former player.' he said.[LNB]'There was speculation over the weekend and the fans want Zola, that's a possibility although I know he's in charge at West Ham.[LNB]'I don't think they want to make a mistake again.
