Fabio Capello is on top of the world, says Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti has hailed his countryman Fabio Capello as the best tactical mind in football, insisting his former coach reads the game like no other manager.[LNB]Ancelotti, who played under Capello for a year, is of the opinion that England have an outstanding chance of success in South Africa next summer with his fellow Italian to guide the six world-class players he believes the national side can call upon.[LNB]'Capello is the best coach to observe the game and change things at half-time, which is a fantastic quality,' claimed the Chelsea manager.[LNB] Capello: England boss has won praise from Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti[LNB]'England have six top players: (John) Terry, (Frank) Lampard, Ashley Cole, Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and also Rio Ferdinand. It's difficult for other teams to have six top players. And they have a fantastic coach.'[LNB]With three of that contingent at Stamford Bridge, as well as a host of experienced internationals to call upon, Ancelotti insisted it will be difficult to improve upon what he already has in the January transfer window.[LNB]Reports that Terry had been showing people around Chelsea's training base in return for a £10,000 payment do not appear to have altered Ancelotti's opinion of his skipper. Neither has Cole's rather less-than-positive public image.[LNB]The main man: Carlo Ancelotti[LNB]Discussing his England defenders, Ancelotti said: 'Terry is like FrancoBaresi and Paolo Maldini in personality, character and leadership. I amvery lucky to have this player as my captain. I don't know whathappened to Ashley Cole before he came here from Arsenal but, for me,he is a fantastic player, a good guy. He always likes to joke, alwayshas a smile and gives no problems.'[LNB]Despite his satisfaction with his current crop, Chelsea remain extremely keen on Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery and have also been heavily linked with a move for Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero, now they have earned a temporary reprieve from the transfer ban imposed as a result of the Gael Kakuta affair. But Ancelotti preferred to extol the virtues of the youngsters at his disposal.[LNB]He said: 'It is very difficult to buy top players at this moment. We have fantastic young players and, in the future, I want to put them in the squad. (Fabio) Borini played against Portsmouth, Gael Kakuta played in the Carling Cup, Jeffrey Bruma as well.'[LNB]But with Chelsea faltering of late - they have won just one of their last six games - and Ancelotti needing to cope with the loss of Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Salomon Kalou and John Mikel Obi to the Africa Cup of Nations, owner Roman Abramovich is ready to open the cheque book.[LNB]Keeping passionate and impatient employers happy is nothing new to Ancelotti, however, having worked for Silvio Berlusconi at AC Milan.[LNB] Case for the defence: Ancelotti is a huge fan of Chelsea captain John Terry[LNB]And the 50-year-old is only too happy for Abramovich to take a keen interest in all aspects of his work.[LNB]'Inever think that, if I don't win games, Roman will remove me,' insistedAncelotti. 'My aim is to do the best for this club, as I have done forother clubs.[LNB]'Abramovich is like Berlusconi. He has a passion for his club. He likes to speak about football, as does Berlusconi. Both of them like to watch football on television. After a game, he comes to the dressing room.'[LNB]Indeed, the only issue in the Chelsea dressing room which Ancelotti has struggled to cope with is the choice of music.[LNB]'It is rap music,' added Ancelotti. 'I want to change to Elton John, even Pavarotti. It's impossible!'[LNB] Capello will have final say over Terry, say FA on under-fire Chelsea captainJohn Terry's judgment is already in question, now he says Michael Ballack is the world's No 2 player!Real deal: Spanish giants Madrid circle Chelsea for £9m utility man Ivanovic[LNB][LNB] [LNB]
