FA Cup final: John Terry '100 per cent fit' to face Portsmouth at Wembley
Terry hurt his right foot in training on Wednesday but scans showed there was no break and he was back in training today. [LNB]Terry was immediately led away, with his foot placed in a protective boot as a precautionary measure.[LNB]Terry said: "I was just running back to goal and Daniel Sturridge fell on top of me. My foot was caught underneath. I thought it was quite bad initially. [LNB]"But once I had the scan, it was just bruising and today there was no problem at all. [LNB]"I was delighted when I got the scan results and there was no ligament damage or anything like that. It was just a bit of bruising inside the foot so no problem at all. [LNB]"I felt good today, I felt nothing at all, passing the ball or striking the ball. I came straight here to see the doctor and he sent me for a scan straight away. He couldn't tell what it was, it was always going to be a quick scan, nothing serious." [LNB]Terry admitted he was concerned the problem could have affected his participation in this summer's World Cup final in South Africa. [LNB]He said: "It was sorted out in a couple of hours but I was a bit scared, I must say. [LNB]"Once I had the scan I didn't wear the boot, it's just protection really. The doctor advised me to keep it on. But once I got the scan results I was back in my normal trainer." [LNB]England manager Fabio Capello has been kept informed by Chelsea's medical staff, who have a good relationship with the Football Association and its team of doctors, led by Ian Beasley. [LNB]Terry has suffered a metatarsal injury before, in Dec 2007, which ruled him out for 14 matches. [LNB]The training ground injury yesterday was witnessed by television crews, filming footage ahead of Saturday's game, which led to the reports that it was far worse than has since transpired. [LNB]
