The midfielder has also said the team lacked fighting spirit to do the "dirty work" until the arrival of Guus Hiddink and has called for Chelsea to find a manager who brings stability to the club. "I think it has to be [a failure] if we don't win anything," said Mikel. "I think we have to win it. I think that is what the club is looking for – a manager who is going to be here for a few years. "Maybe they haven't found the right one yet, but I think everyone who has come in has done really, really well. Guus has done fantastically well but unfortunately he has to leave. "I think he has brought something back which was lacking – the fighting spirit to do the dirty work. Not all the time, but you have to defend when we don't have the ball. I think he has brought that back to the team. "The team hasn't had it for a long time but he has brought it back. He is a really, really good guy and a good manager. He knows how to find the right players, talk to you and try to get the best out of you. For the players if you are not playing very well, it doesn't matter who you are, you are on the bench." Mikel is also confident about Chelsea's chances of winning next season's Champions League. " We'd loved to have been there," he said. "In the past two seasons we have come very close but we haven't won it. "Next season I think we will win it. Watching the game will help us want to win more on Saturday so we can lift the cup otherwise it'll mean another season without a trophy. And we have to win something."
