Essien extends Chelsea contract

Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has signed a two-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2015.The 27-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Lyon in 2005, has not played for the club since tearing a hamstring in December 2009.
