England captain Terry vows to focus on football after Chelsea star is left red-faced by his mum's ca
John Terry has vowed to not let the controversy surrounding his mother and mother-in-law affect his England performance tomorrow.[LNB]Sue Terry, 50, and Sue Poole, 54, were were cautioned for shoplifting after being accused of stealing clothes andfood worth £800 from Marks & Spencer and Tesco in Weybridge, Surrey.[LNB]Chelsea star Terry, who will lead England out against Slovakia tomorrow and Ukraine on Wednesday, said: '"I've got experience of seeing many headlines.[LNB]'As a player you get on with it. It's a family issue that the solicitors are dealing with. [LNB] Captain fantastic: John Terry (centre) is England's leader[LNB]'I'm still concentrating on my football like I was this morning intraining. It doesn't effect myself or the players and that's the mainthing so I go into tomorrow's game focussed.'[LNB]The pair were allegedly caught loading the goods into a car, according to The Sun. In accepting the caution, the two women formally acknowledged their guilt.[LNB]Focus: Terry today[LNB]Terry will undoubtedly be embarrassed by the incident in the build-up to Saturday's friendly with Slovakia and the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine four days later.[LNB]Tracksuits were among the gear alleged to have taken by the women at the Brooklands Shopping Centre, near Weybridge, in an affluent part of Surrey.[LNB]Police were called by security staff at 3pm on Wednesday and the pair were taken to nearby Staines police station in Middlesex.[LNB]Tesco is the official England supermarket and M&S supplies suits to the England squad, while Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy is one of the vice-presidents for the 2018 World Cup bid.[LNB]Terry, a defender with Chelsea and England, is one of the most high profile and best paid footballers in the country. One said she had no idea why she'dtaken sports gear as she didn't even like wearing the stuff. Theyseemed shaken up.'Another source said the women loaded their car with goods from M&S but were stopped when they went back to Tesco for more.[LNB]Terry's lawyer Angus McBride insisted the pair were entirely innocent and and were victims of an 'unfortunate misunderstanding'.He said they would not have agreed to be cautioned had they realised they were admitting guilt, and said they would be taking legal action to clear their name.'They didn't do anything wrong,' McBride said. 'They didn't have legal advice and weren't aware they were admitting guilt.'Terry has himself been no stranger to controversy in the past.
