Chelsea and Belgium international midfielder Eden Hazard has been named the FTBpro PFA Fan player of the month for March. The award comes following Hazard’s impressive performances for Chelsea throughout March in which he scored two goals and contributed two assists to keep Chelsea in the mix for the Premier League title.

Hazard set up two goals for teammate André Schürrle in the 3-1 win over West London neighbours Fulham and then followed that up with Man of the Match performances against both Tottenham in the 4-0 win and then again against Arsenal in the 6-0 win. Hazard scored from the penalty spot in both games to take his total number of goals for the campaign so far to 14.

Hazard’s goals helped Chelsea win three of their five games in March and with it, maintain Chelsea’s unbeaten home record this season. Chelsea have taken more points at home than any other team; 44 out of a possible 48.

Chelsea are second in the Premier League, just two points behind leaders Liverpool as the race for the Premier League title enters the final six games.

Chelsea’s remaining fixtures include home games against Stoke, Sunderland and Norwich with away trips to Swansea, Cardiff and title rivals Liverpool.

The FTBpro PFA Fan Player of the Month awards are designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.

One lucky fan voter will present Eden Hazard with the FTBpro PFA Fan Player of the Month award in London at a Chelsea home game.

Voting is now open for the April Player of the Month and fans can cast their votes at http://www.football.co.uk/pfa-fans-player-of-the-month/index.shtml
