Dunne - City can land Terry

Manchester City captain Richard Dunne is confident that John Terry could be persuaded to join the club. City have targeted the England and Chelsea skipper - whose future at Stamford Bridge has been called into question in recent weeks. Dunne, whose place would seemingly be most at jeopardy should City manage to lure Terry to Eastlands, is adamant that the club are capable of pulling off such a coup. "I think any player can be persuaded," Dunne told Sky Sports News. "Any player that has the opportunity to come here will realise the challenge and we have got a chance to win trophies, and we will have a good a chance as any to get into the top four." Dunne also admitted the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor would be a huge boost to the club. The Arsenal striker is locked in talks with City over a potential £25million switch from Emirates Stadium. "He would be an outstanding signing," said Dunne. "12 months ago every club in Europe wanted him and hopefully now we are going to get him. "The quality in the squad has just grown, he will bring goals and the stature in the squad. "I think the manager is building a squad capable of challenging on all fronts and any injuries and suspensions come about, there will be a top quality player to come in."
