Damien Duff became
Chelsea's most expensive player when he signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge on Monday.
The Republic of Ireland international winger agreed personal terms with the Blues after earlier undergoing a medical to complete his £17million switch from Blackburn Rovers.
A delighted Duff told Chelsea TV: "It's brilliant for me. It was a tough decision to leave Blackburn, but it's great to be here and I can't wait to get started.
"I have been down here three times now in last week and it just feels right. It is a great challenge for me."
The Irishman is the fourth signing of the Roman Abramovich era at Stamford Bridge and will join fellow new boys Wayne Bridge and Glen Johnson in the club's Asia Cup squad, while Geremi is rested following his participation in the Confederations Cup.
