Drogba to confirm future plans

Ivory Coast international Didier Drogba has promised that he will decide within the next week if his future lies at Chelsea.

The 30-year-old, who has been linked with AC Milan and Barcelona recently, has been unsettled since Jose Mourinho left Stamford Bridge last September.

Drogba has missed the Blues' pre-season tour of Asia and Russia through injury as rumours about his possible transfer have intensified.

The former Marseille star told the Sunday Mirror: "This next week will be key in terms of my future.

"And I am currently injured. People who say I am not don't know me at all because I always want to play.

"As for my future at Chelsea, well I have a contract with the club that is clear.

"But my agents will have a meeting in London and then it will be known once and for all."
