    Drogba planning Chelsea stay

    21 Jun 2009 - 11:03:49

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba fully expects to still be at Stamford Bridge when the new season kicks off.

So far this close season, the 31-year-old frontman has already seen his name linked with Internazionale, where he would be reunited with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

But the Ivory Coast striker claims he has every intention of at least seeing out the remainder of his Blues contract which still has 12 months left to run.

"I have one year remaining on my contract with Chelsea," Drogba told L'Equipe.

"Last September when my book was published, I stated I will stay until the end of my contract.

"However a lot of things can happen that won't depend on me."

Meanwhile, Driogba has welcomed reports linking fellow frontman Samuel Eto'o with a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Barcelona and Cameroon striker has been linked with a £30million switch to the Premier League with both the Blues and Manchester City.

"Seriously, if he signs at Chelsea, Samuel will have a great experience with a great coach," added Drogba.
