Drogba fit for pivotal United test
01 Apr 2010 - 15:43:19
Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted Didier Drogba has recovered from a minor knee injury and he is expected to start against Manchester United in their crucial Premier League clash on Saturday.
The Ivory Coast international was rested for their 7-1 hammering of Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge last weekend, but he has made a significant improvement from his knock and is expected to be called on for the Old Trafford showdown.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Ancelotti said: "Drogba had a little problem at the start of the week and was out for two days because he had kick on his knee.
"He was on the treatment table with (Yuri) Zhirkov but they have trained today very well. We don't have a problem with the other players.
"We have trained very well this week, we have had all the week to train. The team is fit."
