Drogba faces FA probe

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba could be in hot water with the Football Association for comments he made in his autobiography.

The Ivory Coast international wrote that he wished he had punched Manchester United's Nemanja Vidic in the Champions League Final in May.

Drogba was given a red card for slapping Viduc but claims he did not deserve to be sent off.

He wrote: "I have seen the match on video and I believe I should not have been sent off with three minutes to go.

"If I had punched him, I would have understood. Now I wish I had."

The FA will study the whole book, to see whether Drogba may have brought the game into disrepute, with a spokesman confirming: "We are aware of the comments and will be examining them in their proper context."
