Drogba close to Chelsea exit to sign China deal
Chelsea's Champions League hero Didier Drogba is close to agreeing a move away from the club, and signing a deal with Shanghai Shenhua.
Drogba scored the opener in the 5-1 FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham and also scored the winner in Wednesday nights 1-0 win over Barcelona.
The Ivory Coast forward will bring an end to his successful career at Stamford Bridge by joining former team-mate Nicolas Anelka, player-manager, in China.
According to The Daily Mail, he is expected to sign a two-year deal worth £130,000 a week after tax.
He was offered a new 12-month extension to his Chelsea deal, but not the two years he wanted.
