Drogba - Terry will stay

Didier Drogba is confident team-mate John Terry will reject a move to Manchester City and stay with Chelsea. The Blues skipper has been the subject of strong interest from Mark Hughes' men over the past few weeks with City tabling a number of bids. Chelsea have so far rebuffed City's efforts, reportedly rejecting offers of up to £30million for the England captain. Terry has so far remained silent over his future, causing many to suggest that his head has been turned by City's new-found riches, but Drogba believes the defender will remain at Stamford Bridge. "He's our captain and we need him and we know he's going to stay with us and win more trophies," he told ESPN. Drogba netted in his first pre-season game as Chelsea ran out 2-0 winners over former manager Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan in America on Tuesday and the striker admitted he enjoyed going head-to-head with his ex-boss. "It's always nice to see him, he was a big part of Chelsea's success and now we're moving on," he added. "We have a new manager now and we're happy for him (Carlo Ancelotti) because he won his second game out of two so it's all good. "We're working hard, this is only the start and we want to be ready for the start of the season." Frank Lampard added the second for Chelsea from the penalty spot just after half-time in a performance that will have impressed manager Ancelotti.
