Drogba open to Blues talks

Didier Drogba's agent insists his client would be willing to discuss a possible contract extension at Chelsea. Thierno Seydi claims the Ivorian striker is prepared to snub a host of big-money offers from across Europe in order to remain at Stamford Bridge. The 30-year-old had appeared destined to leave the Blues this summer after falling out of favour under Luiz Felipe Scolari's regime. However, he has been brought back into the fold by interim boss Guus Hiddink and has been in breathtaking form of late. He has rediscovered his passion for the club and is now ready to complete a remarkable U-turn by pledging his future to the Blues. Drogba still has 15 months to run on his current contract but, in order to fend off any potential pre-season suitors, talks regarding a new deal look set to be opened imminently. "He is happy, playing well and his return to form and scoring goals points to the fact he is enjoying his football," said Seydi. "If Chelsea present a new proposition then we will study it and after that he will make a decision on his future. "It was important for him to return to his best level, without bad injuries, and he has shown he's one of the best players in Europe. "A lot of big clubs in Europe have asked about him but we will not make any decision until the end of the season. "There are big opportunities at Chelsea."
