Chelsea are waiting to determine the extent of the head injury suffered by Didier Drogba in the 3-1 win against Norwich on Saturday. The 33-year-old striker was stretchered off the field in a neck brace following lengthy treatment after a sickening collision with Canaries goalkeeper John Ruddy which resulted in him falling heavily and unconscious for a spell.Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas revealed that Drogba's injury was potentially serious, but he was pleased with his recovery and is now hoping a scan will prove there is no major problem for the Ivory Coast international."Didier is showing some signs of recovery now," he said. "He lost consciousness completely on the pitch and I have to be grateful to my players, the Norwich players and the medical staff that they reacted so quickly to a potentially dangerous situation. "I am happy enough they arrived in time to bring Didier back to consciousness. We are waiting for the full exams of his concussion and hopefully nothing is wrong. I don't know how long he was out for. A couple of minutes I think. "We hope for his well-being as a person first. He is showing progressive signs of recovery but we need a full exam, which is being done."
