Don't join Chelsea: Christian Eriksen's dad fires stark warning to world's top teenagers
The father of Ajax wonderkid Christian Eriksen has warned the world's top teenage talent: do not join Chelsea.[LNB]Denmark international Eriksen is one of the hottest properties in European football and outshone England's great hope Jack Wilshere during Fabio Capello side's victory in Copenhagen last month.[LNB]The 19-year-old - who is rated between ?10million-?13million - is being chased by Europe's top clubs, including Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.[LNB] Hot property: Christian Eriksen (left) is wanted by a raft of Europe's top clubs[LNB]But Eriksen should already be on the Stamford Bridge club's books after outgoing sporting director Frank Arnesen invited the midfielder - who was playing for Odense's academy at the time - for a trial as a 15-year-old.[LNB]However, Eriksen had two trials unsuccessful trials with Chelsea before agreeing to join Ajax in 2008.[LNB]Chelsea have made it a key part of their ongoing philosophy to lure the globe's most promising talent to west London with a view to promoting them through the club's academy set-up into the first team.[LNB]Brazil Under-17 attacking midfielder Lucas Piazon, dubbed the 'new Kaka', last week became the latest youngster to agree to join Chelsea.[LNB]But Eriksen's dad insists he is happy his son did not make the move to Stamford Bridge and advised other starlets against a move to west London.[LNB]'Chelsea thought he [Eriksen] was too weak and not that great,' claimed Eriksen's father Thomas.[LNB] Don't join Chelsea: Eriksen's father has fired a stark warning to his prodigious offspring[LNB]'They wanted him to have a third trial - but I said no to that.
