Didier Drogba: Winning Premier League this season would top 2006, says Chelsea hitman

Didier Drogba says lifting the Premier League crown this season would be a better feeling than when Chelsea won back-to-back titles. [LNB]Drogba was on target at the weekend as the Blues took pole-position in the title race after beating rivals Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford. [LNB]The win leapfrogged Chelsea above United back to the summit of the Premier League - leaving them two points clear with just five games remaining. [LNB] On target: Drogba opened his league account against United on Saturday [LNB]And Drogba insists he will do everything to ensure Chelsea reclaim the title they last won back in 2006.[LNB] 'It would mean more for us to win the league now having waited four years to win it back again,' Drogba said.[LNB] 'There are still five games to go and a lot of things can happen. But we're going to do everything to stay there and win this league.' [LNB] Top Drog: Didier is desperate to get his hands on the Premier League trophy[LNB] Drogba was surprisingly left out of Chelsea's starting line-up on Saturday but came on as a second-half replacement to double his side's lead to all but end the contest.[LNB] It was the Ivory Coast's international first league goal against United and he admitted he was delighted to open his account. [LNB]United they fall: Chelsea moved to the summit of the Premier League after winning at Old Trafford [LNB]'Maybe you don't need to score a lot - just the important goals - and maybe this one was one of those. [LNB] 'I've scored only twice against them, once in the FA Cup final and now this. It's nice to score against them because they have one of the world's best defences. [LNB] 'We're proud of what we did, the desire was so good. This was a very big result and we showed we are a good team and deserved to win. [LNB] 'But we know we're not there yet. All I know is we want to win it a lot, to prove to people the team we are.[LNB] 'To come to United thinking we were going to win shows we're determined to take this title. We really want it.' [LNB] Carlo Ancelotti admitted it was a difficult decision to leave Drogba, who has scored 25 league goals this season, out of the starting line-up.[LNB] 'It was very tough to take out Didier but he had not trained at 100 per cent during the week,' Ancelotti said. 'He did very well because he was fresh - and he scored a fantastic goal.'[LNB]As for his side's title chances, Ancelotti said: 'It's normal we're favourites as we are back at the top of the league. 'It's been a good reaction after the defeat against Inter. My players are strong.'
