Didier Drogba wants Chelsea to sign Patrick Vieira

The Premier League leaders are unable to bring in new players due to a transfer embargo imposed by Fifa, but should the club's appeal against that ruling be successful, Drogba believes veteran midfielder Vieira should be the first name on Ancelotti's wish-list.

"It would be a good move for Chelsea to bring Patrick in," said Drogba.

It has been reported that Vieira, currently at Inter Milan, is seen by Ancelotti as ideal cover for Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel, who will both travel to Mali early next year.

The 33-year-old Vieira was at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to see Chelsea return to the top of the league with victory over Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Chelsea captain John Terry has again expressed his desire to erase his Moscow heartache.

"Everybody knows the determination within myself to go on and win the Champions League with Chelsea, there is no bigger challenge than that," said Terry.

"What happened in the Champions League final I have to deal with every day. Whether it be five, 10, 15 or 20 times a day, I deal with it in my way and try to use it as a positive."
