Didier Drogba: I expect European ban from Uefa

Drogba said of the charges: "Whatever I did and the decision they take, I will accept it because my behaviour was not what Uefa and what everyone wants to see in a football stadium. I will do my suspension and, after that, I will come back stronger." Drogba has been charged with improper conduct after remonstrating with referee Tom Henning Ovrebo and swearing into a television camera. He is expected to be fined and banned for between four and six matches by the Uefa control and disciplinary body, which will hear the case on June 17. Drogba's future at Chelsea is also in the balance. He has one more year left on his contract and his requests for a new deal have, so far, not been granted. No talks are scheduled with Chelsea waiting to see if they receive an offer for the 31-year-old or can sign the replacements they are after. "I'm not worried about this, I'm not worried about my age or the decision of the club, I'm just worried about being happy in my life and at the moment I'm really happy where I am," Drogba said. "At the moment this is where I want to be, I've said it before and I will always say that – but you never know in football."
