Didier Drogba has told his Chelsea team-mates they need to cut out the defensive mistakes if they are to retain the Barclays Premier League title.[LNB]The champions once again conceded an early goal in the clash against Newcastle on Sunday when a mix-up allowed Andy Carroll to score, which forced Carlo Ancelotti's side to chase the game at St James 'Park.[LNB]Chelsea rallied and Salomon Kalou managed to rescue a point for Ancelotti's men but it leaves them two points behind leaders Manchester United after leading much of the season at the top.[LNB] Speaking out: Didier Drogba says Chelsea must stop conceding early goals as it's ruining their title chances[LNB]Drogba says he hates seeing United ahead of them in the table and is not pleased that Arsenal are level of points with them either.[LNB]But the Ivory Coast striker says it is because the Blues are having to constantly chase games - a problem he insists they must rectify.[LNB]'It's not a good moment and is very frustrating,' admitted Drogba. 'It's not nice to see United up front and Arsenal arewith us as well but it's a challenge for us and we have to see it thatway, rather than being disappointed. [LNB] On level terms: Salomon Kalou equalises for Chelsea as his deflected shot goes in off the Newcastle defence[LNB]'We have to do everything to comeback and we are playing those teams in a few weeks so this is achallenge.[LNB]'Once again we created a lot of chances and we could have scored maybe another goal but the problem is we conceded a goal very early so we had to chase the game.[LNB] 'When you have to chase, you create more space and you create more fatigue as well - so it is difficult to take the chances when they come.'[LNB] Drogba had a goal ruled out because it bounced onto his arm as he controlled it but the Ivory Coast frontman admitted the referee made the correct decision.[LNB] First blood: Andy Carroll celebrates giving Newcastle an early lead at St James' Park on Sunday afternoon[LNB]'It was handball,' he conceded. 'I was just disappointed because two minutes before I tried to cross and the defender touched it with his hand and the referee didn't give it. [LNB]'He said the player was too close but my handball was close also - but it was the decision and there was nothing you can do about it.[LNB]'People expect Chelsea to win every game and they may be surprised when we don't, but that means we are one of the best teams in the league. That is why the expectation is high so it is a responsibility we have to take and we try to do that.'[LNB] Carlo Ancelotti feels heat at Chelsea after Newcastle stalemate and Pep Guardiola talk Newcastle 1 Chelsea 1: Salomon Kalou saves blue blushes but champions still can't find a winCHELSEA FC
