Roberto Di Matteo sent a clear warning to his players that he will do the job his way and they had better watch out.

After seeing his side get through a tricky FA Cup 5th Round replay at St Andrews tonight against Birmingham, Di Matteo weighed into the debate surrounding the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas.

He said "We have two months left in the season and so we have to try and achieve what we set out for at the beginning of the season and that is only possible if all 25 player are unselfish."

Blasting players as selfish will not go down well with certain sections of the squad and it won't endear the Italian with them by adding that : "His thoughts were with Andre tonight."

Intrim boss Di Matteo added: "The attitude was right, the we commitment and passion was right and also got a clean sheet too.

"The important thing was to get through for our supporters."

Second-half goals from Juan Mata and Raul Meireles scored the goals that saw off plucky Chmapionship side Birmingham.

The Londoners will face Leicester City in the quarter finals.
