Di Matteo focused on Dons

Roberto Di Matteo is refusing to read too much into speculation linking him with a return to Chelsea.[LNB] The Italian enjoyed a successful six-year spell with the Blues during his playing days, helping the club lift the FA Cup on two occasions as well as the League Cup, Cup Winners' Cup and the Super Cup.[LNB]A firm fans' favourite during his time in the capital, he is still held in high regard by those who frequent Stamford Bridge on a regular basis.[LNB]It therefore comes as no surprise that, having adjusted quickly to life in management with MK Dons, he has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the Chelsea hot-seat.[LNB]The Blues appointed Guus Hiddink as Luiz Felipe Scolari's immediate successor this week, but the Dutchman is only under contract until the end of the season.[LNB]LoyaltyA banner unfurled at the end of the recent insipid 0-0 draw with Hull City saw the supporters make their feelings known, with calls for Di Matteo and his former team-mate Gianfranco Zola to be handed the reins by Roman Abramovich[LNB]The Dons boss insists his thoughts remain solely on life at MK Dons, but he does admit to being flattered by the public display of supporter loyalty towards himself and his managerial counterpart at West Ham.[LNB]"I saw the banner, a couple of fans sent me an email. It actually cost me and a Franco a few quid to get that put up," Di Matteo jokingly told Sky Sports News.[LNB]"We always had a good relationship with the supporters and it is flattering that they still remember us.[LNB]"However, I'm not even thinking about next week, because in this life you don't know what is going to happen today or tomorrow."[LNB]
