Desperate Drogba determined to prove his worth to Chelsea

Man on a mission: Didier Drogba is keen to win over his Chelsea doubters with a return to form Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is desperate for a return to regular first team action after being left out of Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad for the last two games. The Brazilian manager dropped Drogba for the games against Southend and Stoke after a dreadful display against Manchester United at Old Trafford. And the Ivorian is determined to return to the Chelsea first team after fully recovering from the knee injury that has dogged him since the end of last season. 'I've not played for the last two matches and I'm in a hurry to return to my best level and be a first-team regular again,' said Drogba. 'If you look back to last May, I've been out for four to six months and it has been very difficult for me. But now I feel in top form. 'I know what I am capable of doing and the real satisfaction for me is that my knee is completely right.' Scolari confirmed earlier this week that Drogba is in contention for Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Ipswich.   More...
