Defiant Carlo Ancelotti insists he'll be in charge of Chelsea next season

  Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti believes he will 'definitely' still be in charge of the Blues next season whatever happens in the Barclays Premier League run-in.[LNB] Ancelotti started his first season at Stamford Bridge in impressive fashion following his summer move from AC Milan and Chelsea have been at the top of the pile for most of the campaign.[LNB] However, their season is very much in danger of falling apart following a dismal week which saw them dumped out the Champions League by Inter Milan and stumble to a 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers to leave them third in the table.[LNB] Confident: Carlo Ancelotti believes his job is safe at Stamford Bridge[LNB] Blues owner Roman Abramovich - frustrated that Europe's top prize continues to elude - is mulling the Italian's future.[LNB] But Ancelotti is confident that even if Chelsea end the season empty-handed he will still be at the helm next year.[LNB] 'First of all I believe that we will do well this year,' he told Italian newspaper La Stampa. 'However, my future will definitely be at Chelsea next year, independent of results.'[LNB]The result at Blackburn leaves Chelsea four points behind Manchester United andtwo behind Arsenal, though with a game in hand.[LNB] Second best: John Mikel Obi and Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder vie for the ball [LNB]Ancelotti admits his side are faltering at the moment but has refused to blame injuries for their poor form.[LNB]'They are two points lost especially looking at how the game went,'he said. 'We are going through a tricky period, between injuries andcup disappointment. But we're still fighting on two fronts.[LNB]Demanding: Abramovich[LNB]'The period we're going through is independent of injuries. Theyhave a bit of a bearing on it, but we had many absences in January aswell during the Africa Cup of Nations.[LNB]'All the clubs have had injuries, it can't be an excuse.'[LNB]Ancelotti has had less of Abramovich's billions to spend than someof his predecessors such as Claudio Ranieri and Jose Mourinho.[LNB]However, the 50-year-old does not believe splashing the cash is necessary.[LNB]'It's not a given that the more you spend the more you win,' said Ancelotti.
