Chelsea-bound midfielder Deco has urged Ronaldinho to join him at Stamford Bridge next season.
Deco, 30, is widely expected to follow current Portugal coach and already confirmed Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari to west London next season.
The experienced midfielder is set to join the Blues from Barcelona where he has fallen out of favour.
But despite interest from AC Milan and Manchester City, Deco has urged his current Barcelona team-mate Ronaldinho to join him at Chelsea next season.
Deco believes the 28-year-old Brazilian should be still be playing at the very top level and has questioned the ability of Manchester City to fulfil his needs.
He said: "With the greatest respect to Manchester City, I would not like to see Ronaldinho go there and play for them.
"I still consider Ronaldinho to be one of the best players in the world. He needs a huge team to express himself in, one that plays in the Champions League and aims to win it.
"It would be very good for him to go a really big club, a team with grand aspirations and that will make him feel like he did at Barca. He needs that as a person as much as a player."
Referring to his own future, Deco added: "Chelsea and Barca are still negotiating and nothing has been sorted out."
