Chelsea midfielder Deco is keen to return to Brazil to be with his ill son, and expects to have his future sorted by Monday.

The Brazil-born former Portugal playmaker looks set to be released from his Blues contract, with Rio de Janeiro-based Fluminense reportedly a possible destination.

He told Brazilian newspaper Lance: "It's been 13 years since I left Brazil for playing in Europe. Now I want to go back home and play in my country because I have never been able to win a title there."

He added: "I want to return to Brazil most of all because of personal reasons but I am still under contract at Chelsea and I have to resolve that.

"I expect to have my situation resolved before July 26."

Deco joined Chelsea from Barcelona two years ago and played 28 games last season as Carlo Ancelotti's side clinched a Barclays Premier League and FA Cup double.
