West Brom have lost the services of Shaun Cummings after Reading confirmed the signing of the Chelsea defender for an undisclosed fee. The full-back, 20, had been on loan at The Hawthorns since August 17 and had agreed a month-long stint to cover the injury to Gianni Zuiverloon. Cummings had started all four games since his arrival but his stay has now come to an end after it was revealed the deal was agreed between Reading and Chelsea before Tuesday's 5pm transfer deadline, with the youngster signing a three-year deal at the Madejski Stadium. Royals manager Brendan Rodgers said: "Shaun is a modern day full-back, a good defender who wants to go forward and is very athletic. "I'm excited to have him. He worked closely with me at Chelsea, he developed there and then had a really successful loan spell with the MK Dons last season."
