Costa and Pedro heading back to Spain?

Atletico Madrid representatives have flown into London to thrash out deals to sign the two Chelsea stars. Director Andrea Berta is in the capital to thrash out a deal in the January transfer window.

There are extraordinary reports from Spain that Atletico Madrid want to re-sign Diego Costa. The Brazil-born Spanish striker spent 4 years at the Vincente Calderon club scoring 43 times in 94 games helping the Rojiblancos to win La Liga and the Coppa del Rey.The La Liga side are also very keen on recruiting ex Barca forward Pedro. Attacker Pedro has struggled after his £21million move to Stamford Bridge this summer and has been taken off in the previous two games after disappointing performances. There are those who believe he is not up to the physical challenges of the Premier League.

Andrea Berta has travelled to London in a bid to tie up deals for Diego Costa and Pedro with a possibility of using Jackson Martinez as a bargaining tool according to sensational reports in Spain. Martinez has found it difficult after moving to Madrid from Porto and has only managed 2 goals in La Liga.

Diego someone is desperate to strengthen his side to keep their chances of winning another La Liga championship alive. They are 2 points in front of Barcelona but the Catalans have a game in hand. Chelsea are reportedly attempting to woo Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone to London with a salary offer of around £7.7m a year.
