Cork makes Sky Blues move

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Coventry City have signed Chelsea youngster Jack Cork on loan until the end of December.[LNB] Skysports.com revealed on Friday morning that the 20-year-old was set to move to the Ricoh Arena after already spending time on loan at Bournemouth, Scunthorpe, Southampton and Watford in his career.[LNB]Coventry boss Chris Coleman has revealed he made an attempt to sign Cork on a permanent basis in pre-season but Chelsea turned down the 'substantial offer'.[LNB]The Sky Blues have now completed a temporary deal and the defender, who can also play in midfield, follows Patrick van Aanholt in moving from Stamford Bridge.[LNB]"This is another excellent addition to the squad and Jack is the second promising young Chelsea player to join our ranks this summer," Coleman told Coventry's official website[LNB]Highly rated"He is very highly rated at Stamford Bridge and he has already played close to 100 matches while on loan at other Football League clubs so he has good experience for his age.[LNB]"We made a substantial offer for Jack earlier in pre-season to bring him to the club permanently but Chelsea did not want to sell which shows how much they think of him - and how highly we consider him.[LNB]"That said, we are delighted that they have let him come out on loan to us and this is further sign of what we are trying to achieve at the club."[LNB]Coleman, who is waiting to see if Cork has been signed in time to gain official clearance to face Swansea on Saturday, also admits that his work in the summer transfer window has not yet been concluded.[LNB]He added: "We are still hoping to make further additions before the transfer window closes and a lot of work is going on behind the scenes to make that happen."[LNB]
