Outburst: Coleman had plenty to say Coventry boss Chris Coleman has been charged over comments he made after the club's FA Cup defeat by Chelsea. He has been charged with improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute for criticising referee Steve Bennett's performance in the game. Coleman described Bennett as 'smug' and claimed the referee was 'very friendly' towards Chelsea. He has until April 2 to respond to the FA charge. 'I was disappointed with him,' Coleman said after the game with Chelsea. 'He was smug towards us.' Coleman is not the first manager to complain about the relationship some referees have with players from big clubs. West Bromwich Albion's Tony Mowbray spoke out after his side's defeat by Manchester United on January 29. And after seeing Stoke beaten by Sunderland on February 7, Tony Pulis claimed some referees punish smaller clubs more harshly.
