Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Ashley Cole will be on the bench for Saturday's trip to Tottenham Hotspur after recovering from a broken ankle.
Cole, 29, has been sidelined since a Premier League game against Everton at Goodison Park on February 10.
The Blues were adamant that Cole would return in time to make Fabio Capello's World Cup squad for South Africa and Ancelotti has now revealed that the left-back will among his substitutes following a 13-game absence.
"Ashley has not played but he is very fit and trained all week with us," he said,
"He will be on the bench tomorrow."
Cole had made 31 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season before being struck down by injury.
The 29-year-old defender will return to a side that currently tops the Premier League table by four points from nearest title challengers Manchester United.
