Cole eyes lengthy Blues stay

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has suggested he would be keen to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge. The Blues and England left-back still has two years remaining on his existing deal but would welcome the opportunity to remain at the club. The 28-year-old swapped Arsenal for Chelsea in an acrimonious transfer in 2006 which also saw William Gallas head in the opposite direction. "I'm at Chelsea and it's a new chapter in my life," Cole told the Daily Express. "Hopefully, I can win a few more trophies here and that will make it even better. "Since I've been at Chelsea I've had a great time and won a lot of trophies, but I want to win a lot more in the future with Chelsea."
