Cole: Best still to come

Ashley Cole does not think Chelsea are playing to their full potential and has tipped Jose Mourinho's side to overtake Manchester United in the second half of the season in the race for the Premiership title.

The Blues hit back to draw 1-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday after being outplayed in the opening 45 minutes and remain three points behind Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

Cole believes there is far more to come from the Premiership champions of the last two seasons, telling the Evening Standard: "We're not performing anywhere near as well as I know we can.

"I've faced Chelsea in past years and they've been brilliant. We're not hitting that peak and when we do - watch out.

"It's still early but you don't want to go six points behind a great team like Manchester United.

"They're playing well and hopefully that's an advantage for us. We're not playing well and are only three points behind. We're coming up to the period when the title is won.

"We've qualified for the Champions League knockout phase and we have to pick up our Premiership form after a good second-half performance at Old Trafford."
