Ashley Cole is the latest Chelsea player to commit his long-term future to the club by signing a new four-year deal. The 28-year-old follows hot on the heels of his captain John Terry, who penned a new five-year deal earlier in the week. The deal is thought to put the England international amongst the club's highest earners with a figure close to the region of £120,000 a week mooted. The former Arsenal ace has started the season in inspired form, even managing to get himself on the scoresheet in the 3-0 win over Burnley at the weekend. Manager Carlo Ancelotti will no doubt be delighted with the news with Cole playing an integral part in the Italian's plans, providing much of the Blues' width when deploying the former Milan boss' favoured diamond formation. Cole will be 32 by the time his new deal runs out and it appears likely that the left-back could finish his career at Stamford Bridge.
