Chelsea's summer target David Villa committed to Valencia
Even if the club fails to qualify for next season's Champions League, the Spanish forward, who last summer committed himself to the club until 2014, has said he will not be swayed by a big-money move. [LNB]"If something comes, it will be discussed... but now it is a waste of time."[LNB]Unai Emery's side currently lie fifth in the Primera Division, two points behind fourth-placed Villarreal with nine games remaining, but the club has been crippled by huge debts, which has led to players not receiving full pay and construction work on their new stadium grinding to a halt. [LNB]The club also admitted for the first time last month they might have to cash in on some of their star players, with Spain internationals Villa and David Silva among their biggest assets. [LNB]Villa, however, is trying to distance himself from such matters and focus only on on-pitch affairs. [LNB]"Players try to isolate ourselves from those things," he said. "I do my work because, when we talk about issues during the week, the only thing that can be a relief for the players is to play well and win on a Sunday. [LNB]"The club always try to stay focused at bad times."[LNB]Wherever he plays next season and in the coming campaigns, Villa believes he is yet to reach his peak. [LNB]He added: "Since the end of last season then the European Championship and this year, I am scoring regularly. I'm in good form, but I always say that I hope my best is yet to come."[LNB]
