The 32-year-old midfielder suffered a fractured toe on Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States and had been a doubt for the Wembley showpiece. However, the Germany international has made a faster-than-expected recovery and is already back in full training. Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti said: "For the next match against Manchester United he will be ready. "I have more or less the team that will play in my mind. We have this week before the game and I want to control the physical condition of all my players. "We have to improve a little over the next week but I'm happy with the condition of the team." Ballack is also likely to line up in Chelsea's starting XI for their Premier League opener against Hull on Aug 15 having missed Chelsea's last four friendly games, including the match with Reading at the weekend.
