Chelsea's John Terry desperate to win Champions League
John Terry has revealed he is 'fed up' with Chelsea's failure to win the Champions League and is desperate to land Europe's biggest prize at long last.[LNB] Chelsea go head-to-head with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in their quarter-final first leg - and that clash brings back painful memories of the Blues' 2008 final defeat to the Red Devils in Moscow. Terry missed what would have been a trophy-winning penalty in the shootout.[LNB] Roman Abramovich's side have been the most consistent performers in the competition in recent seasons but have also suffered four painful semi-final defeats. [LNB] Feeling Blue: Terry (left) was distraught after Chelsea's final defeat in 2008[LNB]Chelsea arguably out-played their opponents in several of those defeats, notably against Barcelona in 2009, but Terry wants to end once and for all their Champions League hoodoo.[LNB] 'I am fed up talking about it being just one of those things,' said Terry. 'I am so desperate to win it but we need that bit of luck. Time is on our side but, hopefully, we will get that this year. [LNB]'There have been many years where we have played well and got knocked out and others played badly and got through. It is a strange game especially in this competition.[LNB] Grudge match: Chelsea crashed out to Barcelona in the 2009 semi-finals[LNB] 'It's about being solid throughout and at times getting a bit of luck because we have certainly been the better team at home to Barcelona and not got the luck we deserved. It happened in previous years against Liverpool as well and obviously with the final against Manchester United. I just aim to go one step further.'
