Chelsea's bright sparks finally threaten to justify Arnesen's role at the Bridge

Chelsea's youth team showed the senior statesman how it's done by thrashing Blackburn to reach the FA Youth Cup final on Monday night. [LNB]After winning the first leg at Ewood Park by the solitary goal, Chelsea ran riot in the second leg winning 4-0 at Stamford Bridge.[LNB]Chelsea have now reached two Youth Cup finals in the last three years but their academy has still come under intense scrutiny.[LNB] Mob rule: Chelsea celebrate during their triumph at Stamford Bridge[LNB] It has been reported that owner Roman Abramovich has spent a staggering £62million in search of homegrown stars that the fans crave but they have failed to produce a first-team regular during the Russian's reign.[LNB]Chelsea's scouting network has eyes all over the world and six of the starting XI of Dermot Drummy's side were foreign, with all four goals coming from players brought in from overseas academies.[LNB]Two goals from Italian Jacopo Sala, plus efforts from Swedish striker Marko Mitrovic and Turkish Under 21 midfielder Gokham Tore ensured victory.[LNB]The man in charge of finding budding young talent is Frank Arnesen. Chelsea paid Tottenham a reported £5m compensation in the summer of 2005. [LNB]On Monday his Chelsea recruits were simply sensational. Drummy said his side had 'come of age.' [LNB] One to watch: Chelsea's Josh McEachran takes on Osayamen Osawe[LNB]In defence, Jeffrey Bruma looked like a player who is ready to push for a first-team berth, having already made three appearances this season. The young Dutch centre-back showed fantastic composure on the ball and he was a constant threat from set pieces.[LNB] In midfield, 18-year old Aliu 'Kaby' Djalo, signed from Boavista in a  deal worth a reported £5m,  is a mixture between Michael Essien and Frank Lampard. What he lacks in height he makes up for in talent with great pace, power and passing skills. [LNB]However, the star of the show was 16-year old Josh McEachran. A name that all England fans should remember. [LNB]Josh joined Chelsea at the age of eight and was a regular for their youth team last season despite still being at school. Now full-time, he has been training with the first team  and made two of Chelsea's four goals on the night.   [LNB]McEachran has captained England at Under 16 level and has balance, quick feet and a wonderful left foot. He can operate wide on the left but has been used behind Mitrovic, where he is given the freedom to find space and trigger attacks.[LNB]Carlo Ancelotti's senior side have been accused of being too old and lacking flair in attack but he will not have to look to far for recruits this summer.
