Chelsea's asking price for Ricardo Carvalho and Deco 'too high' say Inter Milan

Chelsea have insisted they are only interested in a straight cash deal and will not be tempted by a player-plus-cash package for the pair. "Chelsea's request is too high. Therefore talks at the moment are stalled," Inter's transfer consultant Lele Oriali told Italy's Sky television. Portuguese midfielder Deco is believed to be upset at the collapse of the move and will seek talks with manager Carlo Ancelotti. Deco's compatriot, Carvalho, will equally be disappointed with developments having revealed his desire to quit Stamford Bridge this summer. "I would like to open a new page in my career," Carvalho told Corriere dello Sport. "I have spoken to the Chelsea executives and they know what I want. We shall see what happens. "My agent Jorge Mendes knows what I want." Meanwhile, Inter said in a statement they had signed 21-year-old Brazilian midfielder Kerlon from Chievo.
