Chelsea's 50m bid for Sergio Aguero and Diego Godin rejected by Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid last night said they had rejected a £50million offer from Chelsea for striker Sergio Aguero and defender Diego Godin. Chelsea, who are in talks over Benfica's David Luiz, privately dismissed the claim but Atletico majority shareholder Miguel Angel Gil said: 'In the last week we have received two offers. One from Real for Aguero for £38m and the other from Chelsea for Aguero and (Uruguay defender) Diego Godin for £50m.  'Atletico have said no to the two offers because they believe in these two players.'
