Chelsea pair blast pitch

Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Guus Hiddink have added their voices to the growing criticism of the Wembley pitch. Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have already hit out at the playing surface following last weekend's FA Cup semi-finals. Now the Chelsea playmaker and temporary boss have added their criticism ahead of the Blues' FA Cup final showdown with Everton on 30th May. Lampard said: "It wasn't good and it isn't good. I don't know why they have so many events here and things like that. It just means the pitch cuts up and is bobbly. "It is not the way it should be kept. It should be kept in perfect condition for England games, FA Cup games and the play-offs. At the moment it's not." Hiddink added: "It's been said a lot and it's good to criticise the pitch because it's true, it's not 100 per cent for a beautiful occasion like that. "It's not a 100 per cent pitch, that's for sure."
