Chelsea on the brink of record-breaking Aguero deal

18 Nov 2009 - 06:55:57

Chelsea are close to agreeing a £50 million deal to make Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero the highest paid player in the Premier League.

The highly-rated rater Argentine is reportedly demanding a salary in excess of the £170,000/week paid to Emmanuel Adebayor at Manchester City, and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich believes he is worth the money.

Chelsea had a bid of £31m turned down by Atletico last summer, but in light of their transfer ban being lifted, Abramovich is keen to make the best use of the January window and up their offer.

Aguero scored twice against Chelsea is the Champions League earlier this month, a performance which clearly impressed the club's manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The 21-year-old has a £53m buy-out clause in his contract, but Chelsea hope to get that price reduced.

It is really true and real, Aguero deal would be alright and he is worth the money once he is exposed to the field and given to balls always to expose his talent. For sure the Bridge would be bright enough once he is given chance to play. though there is still Drogba and Anelca who both prove to be the would class strikers on the squard of chelsea this season.however this shall improve on the competion among the strikers which make the ball entertaining to us the funs. I like Chelsea f.c thanks bye.
