Chelsea launch new kit with red trim

Model behaviour: Frank Lampard Chelsea have revealed their new home kit - and fans may be surprised to spot a red trim on the usual blue. The adidas kit launched on Thursday and pays tribute to their veteran supporters - the Chelsea pensiioners, who are famed for their red coats. John Terry and Co will wear the new strip in their final home Barclays Premier League game against Wigan next month. But fans have any early glimpse of the latest design The pensioners still sit in the main stand at Stamford Bridge wearing their red jackets. Chelsea were even nicknamed The Pensioners between 1905 and 1952, although this is not the first time red has been included on a Chelsea kit. In 1953, Chelsea released a new badge featuring a red Lion and by 1959 red was used on the socks.
