Chelsea winger Joe Cole Fabio Capello will pick me for Englands World Cup campaign

Chelsea winger Joe Cole insists he will do everything humanly possible to ensure he boards England's World Cup flight to South Africa next summer. The 28-year-old returned to first-team action for the Blues in September, after spending nine months on the sidelines with a knee injury. Cole sparkled on his first league start back during Chelsea's 5-0 rout of Blackburn, leading manager Carlo Ancelotti to call him 'a genius.' However, the former West Ham star is confident he can rekindle theform which made him an automatic selection for both club and country. Determined: Cole has vowed to be in Capello's plans for the World Cup He said: 'I know what I am capable of and I need to get back to that level. 'I'm not far off, you know that I have had some good games and Ihave had some poor games, that is understandable when you come backfrom a longterm injury. 'One thing is for sure, I will fight tooth and nail to get into theteam because that is where I was before I had to come out of the squadwith injury.'  Cole has not played for England since the 4-1 World Cup qualifing win over Croatia in September 2008. And he admits he has not spoken to manager Fabio Capello, sincerupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during Chelsea's FA Cupthird-round replay win against Southend on January 14. Asked if he had heard from the Italian, Cole said: 'No, no. I think heis the England manager and he is concerned with winning games forEngland. He has players that he has to concentrate upon at the momentand that is fine by me.' 'As long as I know, looking at it, that as long as you are playingwell you are getting in squads - that is the best thing as a team and asquad to have. 'You want to know that if you are doing the business on the pitchthen you are going to get in.
