Chelsea will not sell Deco insists Carlo Ancelotti

Deco had a frustrating season at Stamford Bridge last year after an excellent start and was heavily linked with a move to join Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan this summer. However, after watching the Portuguese score a superb 25-yard effort to cap a dominating performance at the Stadium of Light, Ancelotti said that the player would be going nowhere during this transfer window. 'No, Deco does not want to go, and we do not want him to,' said Ancelotti, when asked if the player's future lay elsewhere. 'He is working very well. He is very motivated to stay and play. He considers this a very important season before the World Cup. "He played tonight very well for himself and the club.' Frank Lampard's penalty took him to 132 goals for the club, the same number of former great Jimmy Greaves, after Michael Ballack had cancelled out Darren Bent's opener for Sunderland. '[Lampard] is in the history of this club and he can still improve. We want him to be the best he can,' said Ancelotti. 'I am very happy with the result. We were behind but we had good control of the match, and good possession. Not many shots but control. 'Sunderland were strong and their defence was good under pressure. But they were tired later and we were too strong. 'I am not concerned we have to come back from behind. It is football. You just have to have a good reaction and keep control of the game. We have three matches when we have been behind but we had good control. 'I made changed because I have good quality players and a lot of matches and I want to keep players fresh and in good condition.' Sunderland manager Steve Bruce said: 'Sometimes you just have to admit you have been beaten by a very, very good team. There is no disgrace in that. 'We could not cope with the way they moved the ball. Deco floated around the front and you can't pick him up.'
