The Italian coach, who has one more season on his current contract, has been warned that if Milan fails to qualify for the European Cup next season his future would be in serious doubt. In spite of this - and the club's weekend loss to Udinese - Ancelotti remains firm that he will not comment on his plans until the end of the season. Insistent the club's situation had not borne any influence on his position he said: 'I've not decided about my future yet, but it would not have changed anything if we had won at Udinese. I will decide next weekend." Ancelotti has been heavily tipped to replace Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge since the Dutchman said be was '100 per cent committed' to returning full time to his role as Russia's head coach. Varying reports have suggested Roman Abramovich is using a £50 million war chest to tempt Ancelotti away from Italy and agree to a three-year contract. It is the second time the Russian billionaire has tried to lure Ancelotti to London. High on the list of candidates last summer, Abramovich favoured Luiz Felipe Scolari in the end. Ancelotti is the longest serving manager in the Serie A league. Since joining from Juventus in 2001 he led the Rossoneri to win the Champions League in 2003 and 2007 and the Serie A title in 2004.
