Chelsea v Wolverhampton Wanderers Live

Table-toppers Chelsea will be confident of continuing their unrelenting charge to a Premier League title that has eluded them for over the last three campaigns with a home clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United have won a hat-trick of titles and Carlo Ancelotti is doing his best in the Stamford Bridge hot-seat to bring an end to their impressive run. So far the Blues have won all six games at home and it would take a brave man to bet against them this weekend. It was John Terry's header on November 8 that secured a 1-0 win against Manchester United and that has given them a healthy five-point cushion at the top of the league over both Arsenal and the Red Devils - and Saturday's game gives Terry and co a perfect chance to extend their advantage. Mick McCarthy's outfit are finding life tough back in the big time and are currently on a six-game run without a victory. They were demolished 4-1 by Arsenal at Molineux before the international break and they could do without a trip to the resurgent London side. They will be without Chris Iwelumo (foot), Kevin Foley (knee ligament), David Jones and Stephen Ward (both knee cartilage). Inspirational midfielder Frank Lampard, who missed England's friendly against Brazil last weekend, is struggling with a thigh strain and compatriot Ashley Cole is likely to miss out due to a depressed fracture of his tibia. Russia utility-man Yuri Zhirkov, who could be Cole's replacement, is also struggling with an ankle knock and Jose Bosingwa is definitely out with a knee injury. Chelsea have scored 16 goals and conceded just one at home this term and everything points to yet another easy home success.
