Chelsea v STOKE: Tony Pulis could receive timely boost with return of Kenwyne Jones

27 August 2010 02:05
Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones could return to action against Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea after missing last weekend's defeat to Tottenham with an ankle injury.

Jones, who sustained the problem on the opening day of the season at Wolves, has what Potters boss Tony Pulis describes as an 'outside chance' of featuring at Stamford Bridge.

Little action: Jones (left) has had minimal playing time, limping off after 14 minutes against Wolves

Pulis also hopes Liam Lawrence will have recovered from his groin injury, while Mamady Sidibe is a long-term absentee having ruptured his Achilles tendon.

Team (from): Begovic, Huth, Shawcross, Higginbotham, Delap, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington, Lawrence, Jones, Fuller, Tuncay, Soares, Pugh, Faye, Collins, Wilkinson, Sorensen, Walters.
